Hi The most important first: the first gig with CESAR & BAND was a big success and we got lots of great comments. We had big fun on stage performing the songs and for a 1st gig all went pretty well! We are geared up for the show this SAT at the RESTAURANT L'EPINART. This is a great location and having performed there already with another band I'm really looking forward to play. A new gig is booked for CESAR & BAND on Sept 2nd at the TERRES ROUGES Festival 2007. More details will follow as soon as known ... headliner will be the world great P!nk Will sit in on JUN 30th with a band called SOULS ON BOARD lots of songs to learn for one gig ... So far for the confirmed news, a new CD recording will come up this summer as well, we prepare Cesar's new record with band and will do demo versions of his songs for the producer to choose what will make it to the record or not. More technical for those who are interested into gear: With Cesar &Band I used for the first time my new monitoring sys. Tried this out during practice sessions and can confirm now that although a little more time is used for the setting up THIS IS IT. I use the following: I mike-up my kit with my own mics (604 on the toms, audix d2 on the snare, beta 91 on the kick and hats&O-H AKG c1000) go into PALMER MIC splitters (have 12) from there into my ALLEN&HEATH Mixwizard and to the FOH mixer as well. 10 Channels are used for the kit and from the FOH mixer I get a mono mix of the band. By doing this I have the possibilty to have my very own mix of the set and as I use an excellent headphone (shure IE5) all I can say is that I have a really great monitor sound during the show. Will try to take some pics on SAT and post them here soon so far the latest keep it loud! Serge |
