| First gig with CAIRN | ||

Hi to all, First gig with my new band CAIRN on SAT JUNE 10th at the Little Woodstock Festival in Ernzen. Played this gig already with 3 different Bands a few years ago. Now 4th appearence but with my new Band. As far as I remember from previous years, this year there was the biggest crowd. Cool place, we will be back in SEPTEMBER at the Little Woodstock Cafe to play an additional gig. Big thanks to the staff and the organisation, all worked out great! A big fire setup to warm up the crowd during night on the 2nd picture. ADDITIONAL GIG CAIRN will play an additional gig at the ELEVATOR on Wednesday JULY 19th. So far for the JUNE news, stay tuned   |

Hi to all Time for some update on what's going on! My Gretsch USA Maple KIT is sold. It is in very good hands now and y still can see the kit in and around LUX. So for y to find out who's the lucky owner! Got my new baby straight from USA - Saw on the net that at FORKS DRUM CLOSET a GRETSCH VINNIE COLAIUTA SIGNATURE SET is on sale and after a 30sec tought the set was bought. Even Vinnie himself played this kit once at the Bo Didley gig and he signed the 16" Floor Tom :)) This is the best sounding kit I have ever heard, except early 90ies when BB and myself went to Koblenz to see V. Colaiuta to play a similar set himself. We were blown away by the sound. So, lot's of fun right now playing Drums. I'm working with a new Band. 3 excellent new friends and musicians unknown in Luxembourg. The Band is called C A I R N and all songs are written by Stephan Wagner french Song writer from Thionville. On Bass, Alain van Driessche from Belgium and on Lead Guitar is Jean-Christophe Bultheel professionel musician from Nancy. The Inet site is online so check out: CAIRN-ONLINE We start playing live as of JUNE!, So if y are into french style music inspired by KYO, TELEPHONE, NOIR DESIR with british style Guitar licks, hope y see y at one of the gigs! My PROTOOLS studio is up and running! What a chance to have such a studio and to be able to work whenever the time allows on some recording. We finished last week the first 4 songs of the new DEMO CD for CAIRN. All tracks recorded at SEARCH Studio :) with excellent results for the first recording session. All tracks have been mixed at STUDIO HAUTREGARDS in Belgium by Philippe Renotte (well known for his recent work with ete67 or Jeronimo, a.m.m.) and Fools did some incredible work. Listen to the first 2 songs on the CAIRN homepage. 100ans and Emmene-moi are online as MP3 in full length. Petite soeur and Pas le temps pour ca will follow in a couple of days. Do not forget to put a few comments into the guest book. Will have a few more projects coming up in the next couple of weeks. More in an upcoming post.
